OccupyWilmingtonNC.org is the the go-to resource for information about the Occupy Wilmington movement. We have built our group on the principles of, and with solidarity to, the Occupy Wall Street movement. We are not affiliated with Adbusters, Anonymous, MoveOn, Working Families Party, or any other organization.
Occupy Wilmington is a horizontally organized resistance movement employing the revolutionary Arab Spring tactic to restore democracy in America. We use a tool known as a “people’s assembly” to facilitate collective decision making in an open, participatory and non-binding manner. We call ours the Occupy Wilmington General Assembly and we welcome people from all colors, genders and beliefs to attend our daily assemblies.
